ICFO and the Barcelona City Council sign agreement in support of research that will benefit companies in Barcelona Gerardo Pisarello, first Deputy Mayor of Barcelona and Lluis Gomez, Barcelona Commissioner for economic promotion, business and innovation, visited ICFO to sign an agreement in which the city agrees to provide support for research that will revert to companies in Barcelona in terms of innovation and new industrial applications based on photonics.

This agreement seeks to promote innovative ecosystems in science and technology with applications to the industrial world, attract European funds, international activities and industrial investments in the area of graphene and quantum technologies, and position the city among world leader in research and economic exploitation of high technology products based on photonics.
